Senior Specialist, Payroll - Canada
The Position

Duties & Responsibilities
- Process payroll inputs and transactions according to payroll schedules and checklists.
- Manage semi-monthly and biweekly payrolls for Canadian employees, ensuring compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
- Handle final pay calculations and off-cycle adjustments as needed.
- Perform banking activities including direct deposit file coordination, check issuance, and resolution of banking discrepancies.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries via Payroll and MyServices mailboxes.
- Collaborate with HR systems (e.g., Employee Central) to resolve payroll-related issues.
- Conduct audits, reconciliations, and year-end processes including testing and uploads.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure data integrity.
- Provide backup support to other payroll team members as needed.
About Our Future Employee
- Academic degree in business or equivalent
- Has at least 3 to 5 years of end-to-end Canadian payroll experience
- Experience with payroll software platforms such as SAP HR, ECP (Employee Central Payroll), and MyServices ticketing system is preferred
- Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs is required
- Canada Payroll certification – CPP or PCP
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and maintain confidentiality
- Amenable to work night shift
