Senior Internal Investigator 1

The Position

Contribute to a culture of openness, honesty and trust by planning and conducting workplace investigations into potential violations of laws, regulations or our Code of Conduct. As GBS HR Investigations continues to expand its shared service capabilities globally, this role will play a key part in strengthening a consistent and professional investigations framework across the organization. A core focus of the function is the management of internal investigations into allegations of misconduct in defined HR-related areas, as well as potential breaches of the ethical standards and behaviors set out in Boehringer Ingelheim’s Code of Conduct. Through objective, fair, and thorough investigations, the role helps foster accountability, reinforce organizational values, and support a workplace environment where employees feel safe to speak up and raise concerns.


Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Leading, conducting and supporting internal investigations in fields of HR-related matters, including but not limited to: workplace misconduct, harassment, working time fraud, property crime, discrimination, retaliation, and violations of the Code of Conduct
  • Conducting interviews with the whistleblowers, witnesses, subject matter experts and alleged parties
  • Conducting root-cause analysis, preparing investigative plans and reports with conclusions and recommending CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions), when applicable
  • Contributing to continuously improving and enhancing the methodology of internal investigations.

About Our Future Employee

  • Relevant university degree in fields like Psychology, Business Administration, (Labor) Law or similar
  • Minimum three years of proven experience in handling sensitive HR investigations (e.g., harassment, working time fraud, violation of employment duties, property crime, discrimination, retaliation)
  • Expertise in conducting fact-finding interviews, establishing rapport with an interviewee, documentation skills
  • Experience in collaborating closely with Human Resources, Employee Relations, and Compliance teams, to ensure the investigation is conducted fairly, ethically, thoroughly, fact-based and up to the highest industry standards
  • Strong communications abilities and emotional intelligence
  • Fluent in English (additional languages like Turkish, Arabic, Indian, is an advantage)
  • Experience in multinational company with cross cultural environment with focus on Labor Law (desirable)
