Data Protection Senior Specialist

THE POSITION

You will be focused on legal advice and quality control related to data protection and privacy compliance (i.e., Data Protection Agreements, Privacy Impact Assessments, Data Breach Notifica-tions, etc.).

Tasks & Responsibilities

 

  • Management of business partner requests and support of different data protection tasks using a central platform (OneTrust) for the registering and management of data processing activities in Boehringer’s central Personal Data Processing Register (PDPR)
  • Support local onboarding of this register in countries and onboarding of local data protection officers (DPOs) and data processing coordinators and champions on the processes, including setting up and conducting of trainings
  • Review of processing activities entries initiated by the internal business partners to de-termine the legal basis of the processing to identify potential data protection risks
  • Cross functional collaboration with and support of different Boehringer stakeholders in different countries as well as cooperation with different teams on data protection compliance and across Service Centers within Boehringer 
  • Advising business partners on legal questions related to data protection based on defined playbooks and risk parameters as well as defined service level agreements.
  • Tool trainings and advising business partners on the usage of legal systems such as wiz-ard tools, CLM tools, and intake tools

As a plus:

Advising Business on legal questions related to the register of processing activities and privacy impact assessments based on defined playbooks and risk parameters and de-fined SLAs 

About our future employee

For Senior Specialist:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in law, with legal background
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the data protection area
  • Strong business partnering skills
  • Ability to prioritize and to effectively execute multiple tasks

Additional requirements:

  • Very good English language (min. B2), additional languages are a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills required
  • Strong customer service skills and quality orientation
