Zonal Sales Manager CRM West India

The Position

Setting and achieving Objectives and Targets to bring in Planned Progressive Profitable Revenue with Team Development and Engagement.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Ensure business planning, building high performing teams & building talent pool under his supervision.
  • To analyze market trend data (e.g. sales achievement, brand performance, customer feedback, competitor performance) to track company’s performance and market penetration.
  • To develop zonal level business strategies aligned to the overall BU strategy.
  • To set sales targets and prepare sales budget in liaison with Marketing team and Area Sales Managers for the specified zone.
  • To prepare monthly and quarterly zonal sales forecasts based on the set targets and participate in the determination of market potential.
  • Resourcing & Planning : Understanding of market complexities & potential of areas under him & thereby resourcing accordingly.Data Analytics from market percective.
  • To implement the company’s sales policies and promotional plans to achieve the sales and market share targets with the help of State Sales Managers and/or Area Sales Managers.
  • To confer with immediate supervisor and the marketing team in the development of marketing policy and communicating competitive price movements.
  • To work closely with immediate supervisor in activities such as sales promotion, training or market research and in planning/executing special campaigns.
  • To provide guidance on preparation of plans to the subordinates.
  • To track/monitor their progress to ensure adherence to the targets.
  • To identify and assess the market potential, deployment requirements and drive key profit indicators.
  • To control costs through field expense management for the specified zone.
  • To ensure the compliance for all activities performed in the specified zone.
  • To ensure timely availability of medicines to distributors and stockists in accord with the demand, handle situations like breakage or expiries.
  • To manage the collections and inventory levels with the help of supply chain co-ordinator.
  • To maintain contact with key customers/major accounts within the assigned region to gauge customer need, satisfaction and expectation and gain market intelligence on competitor product and own standing; To ensure return on investment made on key customers as per set targets.
  • To manage cross-functional collaboration of Sales team with other teams like Marketing, Medical, Human Resource Management, Accounts, Supply Chain, etc.
  • To identify Training needs of Sales team and ensuring development of their Competencies like Leadership skills, Communication skills, Personality Development
  • To motivate the team and Coach the subordinates to achieve knowledge and career growth
  • To inculcate BI culture in the team and to develop company values in the team improving employee engagement and alignment of objectives & ensuring high employee retention
  • To manage the performance of the team – set annual performance goals, monitor performance and provide constructive feedback to improve performance

Requirements

  • Education : Bachelors degree, Masters degree(e.g. MBBS, MSC), Diploma
  • Experience in Planned Progressive Profitable Revenue
  • Knowledge of pharma industry and Chronic Therapy
  • MBA preferably with Marketing specialization
  • Required to travel extensively
  • More than 6 years of experience of leading employees and leading leaders
  • Candidates must have minimum 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales managerial experience preferably in specialty pharma
  • Will cover the whole territoies of Mumbai
