Patient Safety Monitor
THE POSITION
We are seeking a Patient Safety Monitor who will be part of the Pharmacovigilance (PV) team for the Italian territory, ensuring alignment with global and regional strategies and acting as the interface between Local and Regional Patient Safety and PV functions in Italy.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Collect, review, report and follow-up on ICSRs and other safety information for all products.
- Screen local literature.
- Ensure full compliance of the local PV system in line with Italian and EU legislation, contributing to business continuity as appropriate.
- Maintain and review local PSMF sections or annexes as applicable.
- Contribute to continuous improvement work with regards to local PV procedures and tools, including writing local SOPs, work instructions and perform related PV training to relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain an internal cross functional network to optimize Patient Safety.
- Act, if needed, on behalf of Local Patient Safety Lead (LPSL) in case of LPSL absence (e.g., serving as point of contact for the national Regulatory Authority on all for PV matters) in the assigned territory (Italy, San Marino and Vatican City).
Requirements
- Scientific degree and professional experience (eg. Pharmacy, CTF, Biology, etc).
- Considerable pharmacovigilance experience and strong knowledge of Italian and EU PV legislation not less than 5 years.
- Analytics and decision-making ability, speed and autonomy in working. Teamwork and cooperation. Good relationship and networking. Ability to solve problems with complex variables.
- Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
- Digital skills: e.g. using digital tools to communicate, interact, collaborate and share.
