Internship: Data & Analytics

THE INTERNSHIP

The Analytics & Insight team aims to accelerate the data‑driven approach of the Human Pharma organization by providing the data needed to support increasingly evidence‑based decision‑making, enable insight generation, and guide the definition of business KPIs to drive continuous performance improvement.
In addition, the team acts as a key reference point for the implementation of local and global AI projects. The intern will have the opportunity to collaborate on both local and global initiatives, working closely with team members and contributing to the development of innovative, business‑supporting solutions.

This internship is ideal for candidates who want to apply technical skills in a business context, learning how to transform data and algorithms into actionable insights.

Tasks & what you will be learning:

• Participate in the implementation of innovative global projects (e.g. Next Best Action), working with advanced systems, supporting analytical activities, and collecting feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Support the team in interacting with the business and external partners to translate strategic needs into standardized analytical solutions, from requirements analysis to dashboard development.
• Actively collaborate with local and global teams, ensuring continuous alignment on Analytics and Artificial Intelligence initiatives, and contributing to the development of innovative AI solutions through Copilot Studio and a dedicated, private DIFY AI environment for employees, supporting the organization’s digital transformation.
•  Work with the team to analyze processes and operational workflows, proposing concrete and scalable solutions to improve business efficiency.

Requirements:

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree (or currently enrolled in a degree program) in Economics, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields.  Fluent Italian and English, both written and spoken, for ongoing interactions with international teams.
• Understanding business processes and technical skills enabling effective collaboration and communication with development teams. Problem-solving mindset, curiosity, proactivity, initiative, and a strong focus on innovation and experimenting with new technologies. Strong aptitude for teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
• Basic knowledge of, or interest in, data architectures based on AWS stacks is considered a plus, with the aim of contributing—together with the team—to the design of scalable and reliable analytical solutions. Basic to intermediate knowledge of T‑SQL for data analysis and querying activities is considered a plus, as well as prior experience with or interest in AI tools such as Copilot (Lite or Studio) or Power Automate, and familiarity with the Dify AI environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions; knowledge of Power BI and Tableau is considered a plus.
