Internship: Tender Office (Appalti Pubblici - Pharma)

The Internship

 

The intern will be working closely with our Tender Office Lead in a hands-on experience focusing on preparing tender documentation, monitoring bidding opportunities, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure compliant and competitive submissions. This a formative opportunity with the prospect to develop into a career path within Boehringer Ingelheim.

By the end of this Internship you will gain the following competencies and be confident in: 

 

  • Monitor public tender platforms (e.g., MEPA, CONSIP, regional portals) to identify relevant tender opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit tender documentation in line with national and EU regulations
  • Ensure public compliance (Codice degli Appalti).
  • Assist in managing contracts post-award (renewals, amendments, reporting).
  • Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, Regulatory, Pricing, Supply Chain) to gather required information.
  • Maintain accurate archives of submitted tenders and their outcomes.
  • Support risk assessment activities and help identify corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal tender processes and tools.

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and ability to navigate complex situations with a positive mindset
  • Excellent communication skill, English fluency could be an advantage but not necessary
  • A university degree, preferably in Law, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Prior involvement in corporate, legal, or detail-oriented environments is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to commute to our Milan office when required
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools; prior experience with regional e-platforms is a plus
