Internship: Commercial Excellence Animal Health

THE INTERNSHIP

Join and support the Commercial Excellence team, whose main objectives are to establish data-driven, customer-focused, and innovative commercial operations, as well as to develop talent. The team's initiatives target sustainable growth and a competitive position for Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health through:

• Facilitating data-driven decision making and market analysis.
• Improving commercial processes and operational efficiency.
• Prioritizing customer needs and tailored approaches.
• Encouraging innovation and ongoing enhancements.
• Providing opportunities for professional development within the team.

Tasks & what you will be learning:

• Analyze and map current (“AS-IS”) and future (“TO-BE”) business processes, with a focus on payment automation, order management, and contract-order matching.
• Design and implement automated tools and user interfaces using platforms such as Snowflake, SAP, and Veeva, as well as AI-driven workflows for data processing and payable outputs.
• Integrate and customize Hyperion (Oracle EPM, Planning, Analytics) to support performance management, budgeting, forecasting, and automated reporting.
• Develop AI solutions (e.g., Python, RPA, machine learning) to accelerate business processes, reduce manual errors, and enable data-driven decision making.
• Support the automation of workflows and manage manual downloads for special processes.
• Collaborate with IT, business, and data governance teams to define requirements and validate solutions.
• Train and support end users on new AI tools and technologies, building your skills in digital transformation and change management.

Requirements:

• University degree in a technical, business-related, or computer science field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, digital tools, and computer science concepts or programming (e.g., Python, RPA, machine learning).
• Fluent in English and Italian (C1).
• Strong organizational skills.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and positive mindset.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Previous experience in multinational environments is a plus.
