Senior / Principal Systems Engineer

The Position

Join our IT INF GTU team as a Senior or Principal Systems Engineer and take full ownership of IT infrastructure operations/projects in Philippines (both Makati and Alabang). In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the local on-site support team, ensure operational and audit excellence, and drive the successful implementation of both global and local IT initiatives while serving as the key point of contact for all infrastructure-related matters. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: 
    Responsible for the operational excellence and support of all local IT Infrastructure activities in the defined OPU. This includes the on-site support of other INF functions (eg: ECS, UCC & NIO) in the local implementation with the alignment with global or regional team. He/she is also accountable in fulfilling local hardware request and resolving local incident ticket within defined SLA.
  • Audit Excellence: 
    This role is accountable for the audit excellence, ensure compliance of IT INF environment, and proactively manage and support the audit / IT self-assessment of the OPU. 
  • Project support: 
    He/she supports local implementation of global IT INF project (eg: device lifecycle replacement, Digital workplace sessions, new technologies rollout). He/she also manages and supports the IT INF setup of local initiated project if any eg: office relocation/renovation. 
  • Stakeholder Management: 
    Being the single point of contact for all INF accountabilities in the OPU and accountable for the escalation and stakeholders’ management including local senior management.
  • Regional responsibilities: 
    He/she will also lead and support regional topics and being the tower lead of IT INF functional areas/technologies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of IT infrastructure operational support & service delivery
  • Minimum 3-5 years of managing/leading IT Infrastructure technology rollout & local projects eg: IT setup of office renovation project.
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in leading global or regional projects.  
  • Excellent in project management, planning, coordination and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge in desktop support (Laptop & Ipad), Windows OS and Apple IOS.
  • Strong knowledge in Service Management and ITIL
  • Good knowledge of IT Network, Security & Video conferencing system
  • Good knowledge of server room maintenance & support  
  • Very strong compliance mind-set and knowledge in supporting IT audit
  • Competent in English (in both spoken and written).
  • Regular commute between both Makati and Alabang sites is required
  • High degree of professionalism, proactive, result orientation & self-motivated.
  • Highly independent and comfortable working in a matrix organization setup.
