Central Finance Manager

The Position

We are seeking a Central Finance Manager who will oversee Central Controlling, Group Functions (GF) Controlling, and Central Finance activities.

This role is offered on a fixed-term employment basis until March 2027 only, serving as a reliever for an employee who will be on maternity leave.
The position must ensure that all activities performed and decisions made are aligned with the company’s and the business segment’s objectives through coordination with the immediate supervisor and/or other stakeholders.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

As a Central Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Central Controlling –Budget Management & Group Functions Business Partnering Reporting & Analysis
    • Lead end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for all Group Functions (GF), management reporting and analysis across corporate, ROPU, and OPU levels, including target setting, market and business case evaluations, and monitoring progress against strategic plans. Ensure timely implementation of corporate reporting requirements and preparation of comprehensive reports and commentaries. Perform and communicate ad hoc analyses and deliver OPU-specific insights to ROPU and Corporate Controlling units. Utilize reporting systems (e.g., Prisma, Apptio, WFP, Allevo, myPlanning) for accurate data submission.
    • Lead Group Function (GF) controlling activities at the OPU level, consolidating planning outputs and providing insightful analysis. Proactively challenge functional inputs and ensure adherence to corporate reporting standards.
    • Act as a strategic finance partner to Functional Heads (HR, IT, Legal, Procurement, etc) ensuring disciplined cost management
  • Central Accounting and Compliance - Corporate Accounting Standards, IFRS & German GAAP Guidance, Closing Support
    • Support financial accounting operations, including month-end and year-end closing activities, local statutory reporting, and compliance with internal controls (CoSeA). Oversee CapEx management and contribute to fixed asset accounting. Collaborate with BU Controlling teams to gather and validate provisions for business-specific requirements.
    • Support Monthly Balance Sheet Review (BSR) discussions with stakeholders
  • Business Unit Controlling - P&L Management & Commercial Business Partnering
    • Manage the full Business Unit (BU) P&L by ensuring accurate tracking of revenue, costs, and profitability, while partnering with commercial teams to provide clear financial insights that support informed decision-making and drive business growth.


Requirements:

An ideal candidate for the role should have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in Controlling or Finance
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in financial planning and reporting, with familiarity in both Philippine and German GAAP
  • Strong functional expertise combined with sound business acumen
  • Solid technical proficiency in financial systems, tools, and reporting platforms
  • Excellent analytical and process-oriented thinking skills, with the ability to understand and manage complex controlling, business, and finance-related topics
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment
