We are seeking a dynamic and forward‑thinking HR leader who will champion, strategize, and execute the full spectrum of HR initiatives at the Philippines country level. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and business/function heads, ensuring all HR activities - spanning benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, organizational development, employee relations, and HR operations - are seamlessly aligned with both the Global HR Strategy and the unique needs and priorities of the Philippines business.
Through strong cross‑functional partnership and a deep understanding of organizational and local market dynamics, you will drive operational excellence, foster employee engagement, and enable growth and profitability across the Philippines organization.

Duties and Responsibilities
What you’ll do
STRATEGY
- Set short‑term Philippines HR priorities and operating plans based on global HR guidelines and in consultation with the Country General Manager or Country Management Team.
- Implement corporate compensation and benefits strategies and policies within the Philippines organization.
- Apply a broad range of HR techniques, frameworks, and best practices to deliver targeted, effective results.
DRIVING BUSINESS RESULTS:
- Develop solutions to highly complex, multi‑dimensional HR challenges and support the achievement of business objectives across the Philippines operations.
- Implement HR standards and continuously review and refine local country HR guidelines.
- Ensure strict compliance with Philippine labor laws, occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations. Maintain strong internal controls to verify compliance with company policies and laws governing the collection, use, and protection of workforce data.
- Ensure adherence to approved budgets, corporate policies, and HR governance guidelines.
PROCESS/CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION:
- Partner closely with the General Manager or Country Management Team, serving as a strategic and operational HR advisor with timely insights and recommendations.
- Negotiate and counsel at an expert level, justify complex or sensitive positions, and demonstrate strong persuasion and influencing skills.
- Collaborate with regional HR (or local HR team counterparts) on complex, country‑specific HR issues requiring specialized or non‑standard solutions.
- Leverage resources across functions and departments within the Philippines organization to drive aligned HR execution.
- Provide guidance on organizational and talent development initiatives, including strategic workforce planning and critical skills development aligned to business needs.
BUDGETING AND COST MANAGEMENT
- Manage headcount planning and personnel budgeting for the Philippines organization.
- Oversee and own the HR functional budget at the country level to ensure compliance with approved allocations and financial controls.
HR OPERATIONS
- Establish, implement, and enforce HR policies and procedures for the Philippines.
- Represent the company appropriately within the local business community, government agencies, and internal corporate forums, ensuring that company values, policies, and ethical standards are consistently upheld.
- Serve as the primary contact with local government and labor authorities, ensuring full compliance with Philippine labor laws and local HR regulations. Manage conflicts professionally through clear, constructive communication.
- Advise managers on employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinary actions, recruitment, and workforce management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders to stay aligned with changing operational needs and business direction.
PEOPLE
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing Philippines HR team committed to delivering ambitious performance goals and supporting both short‑term and long‑term business objectives.
- Provide clarity on team goals, priorities, and expected outcomes.
- Ensure continuous skill and capability development through feedback, coaching, and training opportunities.
- Oversee performance management and talent management activities for the HR team at the country level.
- Encourage knowledge‑sharing and best‑practice exchange across HR teams and the broader organization.
- Identify development needs and facilitate individualized growth and career progression for team members.
- Actively participate in the selection, assessment, and validation of HR team members.
LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISION
- Ensure full implementation and compliance with Performance Management, Talent Management, Compensation Planning, and corporate People‑related timelines for the Philippines.
- Oversee the development plans of direct reports and ensure execution based on agreed‑upon milestones.
- Ensure proper identification of top talent and facilitate discussions on succession planning and cross‑validation of talent pipelines.
- Provide effective coaching during performance conversations (mid‑year, year‑end, and as needed).
Ensure adequate staffing, talent movement, and development planning within the HR team to support business continuity and future-readiness.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate must have the following:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR management experience with at least three years working in the Philippines, including solid HR Business Partner exposure. Proficient in both English and Filipino.
- Broad HR expertise across key areas such as Organizational Development, Compensation&Benefits, Performance & Talent Management, Learning, Leadership Development, Change Management, and Labor Law/IR.
- Strong and thorough understanding of the Philippine labor laws, employment landscape and HR regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to work effectively with international stakeholders and senior leaders.
- Strong business acumen and ability to assess financial implications of HR decisions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management, and strategic messaging skills.
- Experience handling complex HR cases with sound judgment and independence in decision‑making.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects and drive change initiatives.
- Strong influencing skills and confidence to take principled positions with management.
- Proficiency with relevant HR systems and corporate tools.
- Country‑level leadership presence with the ability to drive strategic HR impact.
