Head of Business Segment, Poultry
The Position
The Head of Business Segment, Poultry is responsible to lead the poultry business in the Philippines ensuring to meet or exceed sales and market share objectives as well as embedding customer engagement excellence programs in alignment with global and regional strategies.
The ideal candidate should have deep industry knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in animal health or poultry pharmaceuticals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of technical and marketing plans that drive sales, profitability, and improved market share.
- Adapt global and regional business and species strategies for the local market.
- Review opportunities for new products to be introduced into the market and extensions to claims for existing products.
- Lead, coach and develop team members to ensure optimal individual and team performance.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders to advance the poultry business goals.
- Performs all company transactions in accordance with government regulations, company policies and standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine, Life Sciences and or Business Management. Preferably with an MBA.
- An expert in the field with at least 10 years of relevant animal health experience is an advantage.
- Demonstrate ability to lead, collaborate, and deliver results in a highly matrix organization.
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the animal health industry not necessarily just the poultry business.
- Existing network of relevant external stakeholders is considered a strong advantage.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent writing skills, with the ability to articulate messages clearly and concisely in an engaging manner.
- Ability to prioritize work under pressure and deliver to agreed deadlines.
- Thoroughness, accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
