Poultry Technical Services Manager

THE POSITION

As a Poultry Technical Services Manager, the candidate will serve as the technical expert, contributing to the success of the Poultry Business by providing technical support to the organization and gathering valuable insights from end customers. The candidate will work closely with local Sales and Marketing teams, as well as the Corporate Technical Poultry Division, to address commercial needs and ensure the effective implementation of technical solutions.

This is a field-based role, requiring frequent travel and direct engagement with stakeholders in the poultry industry, including veterinarians, technicians, and farmers. The primary focus will be on Northern and Central Italy, with a significant portion of your time spent in the field.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the warehouse in Codogno (LO), ensuring proper storage and organization of equipment, materials for vaccinations, monitoring tools, spare parts, and promotional materials used by the team.
  • Provide technical and scientific guidance to monitor and improve the quality of vaccine administration. Train vaccination staff to ensure best practices are in place.
  • Maintain and inspect vaccination equipment and spare parts. Manage equipment orders and collaborate with global teams to enhance tools and technologies.
  • Execute and oversee vaccine administration in the field and hatchery. Train vaccination staff on proper product and equipment usage and collect samples for analysis in specialized laboratories.
  • Act as a problem solver in complex field and hatchery situations, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Work closely with the Italian Poultry Team to support key accounts, gather field insights, and address customer needs.
  • Maintain productive relationships with the Corporate Technical Poultry Division by sharing technical and commercial insights, customer feedback, and team activities. Utilize corporate tools to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Participate in technical and scientific meetings, as well as corporate training events, to stay updated on industry advancements and enhance your expertise. Leverage this knowledge to create additional value for customers and support sales objectives.
  • Explore opportunities for growth in commercial activities and customer management.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Livestock Production, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
  • Basic mechanical skills or a strong interest in learning maintenance of vaccination equipment.
  • Previous experience in the poultry or livestock industry, veterinary pharmaceuticals, or feed production sectors.
  • Willingness and ability to learn about immunity, livestock production, and the functional aspects of the product portfolio to meet customer needs.
  • Native-level proficiency in Italian; knowledge of English is a plus.
  • Valid Italian driving license with the ability to travel independently using a company vehicle.
  • Preferably based in Lombardia, Emilia-Romagna, or Veneto.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Italy, primarily in the North and Central regions.
  • Availability to work occasionally during evenings, nights, or weekends.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications and the ability to use common computer hardware and software tools.
