At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are looking for a Territory Manager Companion Animals to join our Animal Health team in Portugal for a temporary maternity cover. This is a unique opportunity to represent a trusted, science-driven portfolio in a role that combines autonomy, strategic territory management, and meaningful customer relationships.
Covering the Setúbal, Santarém, and Leiria Districts, you will:
- Be the face of BI Animal Health for veterinary professionals in your region.
- Drive growth by promoting innovative, high-quality products that improve the lives of pets and their owners.
- Work independently while being supported by a collaborative and experienced team.
- Develop your skills in a global company that values integrity, agility, and continuous learning.
- Contribute to a purpose-driven mission: improving lives through animal health.
This position is a field-based role and reports directly to the Sales, Distribution & KA Manager Pets.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary professionals, promoting BI’s companion animal portfolio and achieving sales targets.
- Develop and execute a territory-specific activity plan in close collaboration with your manager.
- Manage your customer portfolio using our segmentation strategy to ensure targeted, effective engagement.
- Stay informed on BI products, competitor activity, and market trends to deliver high-value customer interactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless and impactful customer experience.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Experience in sales or territory management, ideally in the animal health or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mindset.
- High level of agility, service orientation, and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Solid understanding of the veterinary landscape for companion animals in Portugal.
- Fluency in Portuguese and willingness to travel extensively within the Setúbal, Santarém, and Leiria regions.
