Territory Manager, Vet Clinics | Northern Portugal

THE OPPORTUNITY
As our Territory Manager, you will build strong relationships with Animal Health Care Professionals within Northern Portugal.
You will promote Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health products, grow market presence, and deliver agreed sales objectives through a customer‑focused and value‑driven approach.
You will report to the local Sales, Distribution & KA Manager Pets. This is a field-based position, majority of your time will be spent in the field.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Grow sales and market share of Animal Health products within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with HCPs.
- Plan and execute customer activities in line with the regional activity plan.
- Manage and develop the customer portfolio using segmentation and targeting principles.
- Maintain strong product, disease area, and competitor knowledge.
- Identify growth opportunities by analyzing customer potential and sales performance.
- Deliver high‑quality customer interactions using approved materials, training, and events.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and share relevant market insights.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
- At least 4 years in the animal health industry in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of Veterinary clinics, key accounts and marketing/sales process.
- Ability to manage professional interactions and negotiations with key purchasing groups and central buying organizations.
- Excellent command of Portuguese and English languages.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Service‑minded and customer‑focused approach.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of customers.
- Collaborative and approachable personality. You work cross-functionally, bring empathy, curiosity, and contribute to a positive team culture.
- You reside in Porto or Northern Portugal area.
- You hold a valid driver’s license.
