Technical Manager, Poultry

The Position

Are you ready to take on a strategic technical role where your veterinary expertise drives customer impact and business success in poultry health?

As Technical Manager, Poultry, you are responsible for the collection, analysis, and provision of relevant scientific information for Malaysian and Indonesian market. You build and maintain strong relationships with international and local opinion leaders, provide technical services to customers, support and train technical colleagues within the country.

You will also partner closely with distributors across responsible regions, providing technical guidance, resources, and expertise to support business objectives.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of Operating Unit (OPU) strategy in close collaboration with the OPU Business Segment Head and Regional Operating Unit (ROPU) Technical Manager
  • Provide technical support to the technical colleagues and key customers in the OPU
  • Support the country technical team in managing and solving escalated technical issues
  • Support product launch process in collaboration with OPU Business Segment Head
  • Provide in-depth technical training and consultation regarding the assigned product(s)/disease area(s) to  country colleagues and key customers
  • Initiate, co-ordinate and follow up on field trials within country
  • Spend a significant amount of working time in the field with the sales team and independently to keep in touch with AH trends, customer needs and technical support
  • Support product launch activities and contribute to marketing strategies and brand plans for assigned product(s)
  • Maintain strong engagement with customers, Key Accounts, and opinion leaders to support scientific exchange
  • Assist the Senior Technical Manager and Business Segment Head in developing marketing strategies and brand plans for assigned product(s)
  • Attend and contribute to relevant internal and external meetings and congresses
  • Communicate data from studies and other technical information to Business Segment members, technical colleagues, customers, opinion leaders and other relevant stakeholders
  • Responsible for exchange of technical information regarding the assigned products in the country; including technical papers

About our future employee

  • Veterinarian with relevant Technical experience in Animal Health industry is required
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine is required; Master’s or Doctorate degree is preferred
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in a technical role with strong expertise in Livestock and clinical expertise
  • Solid understanding of poultry health and relevant disease areas
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scientific data and conduct clinical or field trials
  • Strong business mindset with high integrity and ethical standards
  • Effective communicator with strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, Chinese and Malay with the ability to work autonomously
