VTS Manager - East Kolkata
The Position
Provide a complete support to Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Poultry Business in his country, in order to cascade down the global strategy and action plans concerning Vaccination Technologies and Services (VTS). Complete all the action plan implementation requests as directed by Business and VTS functions delivering an excellent customer service and internal/external support. Development and Managing of VTS teams across different zones in the country.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Collaborate and engage with sales team in poultry.
- Help the sales team to increase sales of hatchery vaccines and new products.
- Maintain inventory control of the assigned equipment and spare part and coordinate the reception of the requested equipment.
- Ensure proper utilization of VTS equipment in proportionate to business potential.
- Complete all the action plan implementation requests as directed by Business and VTS functions delivering an excellent customer service and internal/external support.
- Perform follow up visits to key account customers as to check on the correct implementation of actions and plans.
- Ensure compliance of all work related activities in his country VTS related, performing accordingly to BIAH policies and procedures.
- Pilot and coordinate the implementation of all In-Ovo and Automation projects in the country level.
- Support sales team in developing and maintaining key accounts.
- Training and mentoring new VTS personnel.
- Collection, analysis and disseminate market information and provide market intelligence to direct formation of sales and marketing strategies. Ensure technical information is current and available to answer enquiries.
- Investigate product related complaints and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
- Playing a key role in imparting VTS, hatchery audit and technical training to sales team.
- Respects HSE, complies with Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health procedures/policies and abides by Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Values.
- Attend the customer requirements on technical aspects of products.
- Conduct technical trainings to key customers on SOP related to hatchery vaccination, hatchery processes, VTS equipment and maintenance.
- Create opportunities at customers locations for global technical interactions.
- Manage on a daily basis issues with respect to the Technical query, product complaint including customer complaint, on job training to sales team.
- Technical training on vaccination processes and hatchery operations to sales team and customers.
- Monitoring on going clinical / field trials, audit of vaccination process.
- Meets with customers together with sales team,attends technical seminars organized by Veterinary colleges/ Universities, Veterinary organizations, Animal Health departments.
- Manage assigned project/ projects on business avenue.
Requirements
- Education : Bachelors degree, Graduate degree in Science / Engineering discipline.
- Technical and Business acumen
- In-depth understanding of poultry key accounts operations
- Multi-tasking, Collaboration, Planning & Analytical skills
- Hatchery operations, Vaccination processes.
- A minimum of 3-5 years in technical services
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and database applications.
- Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).
- Should reside in assigned geography or be willing to relocate.
- Provides ongoing Technical coaching and development to sales team regarding specific BI products, therapeutic areas and selling skills to optimize sales for the regional area.
- Relation building with Key Stake holders for business development.
- Conducting clinical / Field trials.
- Manages independent organization projects on business avenue.
- Team Handling and People Development.
- Position will be based at Kolkata
