THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you a senior production leader with a strong quality mindset and the ability to drive performance through people, structure and role‑modeling? We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to lead our production organization at our Animal Health site in Kalundborg and ensure stable, high‑quality operations.
As our Production Manager, you hold the overall responsibility for daily production and for leading the production organization. You ensure that operations are conducted in full compliance, with quality never being compromised, and you actively embed a right‑first‑time mindset across teams and leaders.
You play a key role in strengthening a high‑performance culture through Lean, continuous improvement and strong leadership behaviors. While the formal EHS ownership sits elsewhere in the organization, you are expected to act as a visible safety role model and safety guarant in day‑to‑day operations.
You will report to the Site Director and will be a member of the site leadership team. This position is based in Kalundborg.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall responsibility for planning, execution and follow‑up of production activities
- Lead, develop and engage production leaders and employees, building strong successor pipelines
- Act as site lead for Lean and continuous improvement, driving performance, stability and waste reduction
- Ensure high compliance and embed a strong quality mindset and right‑first‑time behavior across production
- Serve as a visible safety role model, demonstrating safe behaviors and clear priorities in daily leadership
- Contribute actively to site strategy, CAPEX initiatives and cross‑functional collaboration
- Use and understand production and performance data in SAP to support fact‑based decision‑making
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Relevant technical or scientific background (e.g. engineering, pharmacy, chemistry or similar)
- Proven leadership experience from production in a regulated environment (e.g. pharma, food, or similar)
- Strong people leader with experience developing leaders and high‑performing teams
- Solid understanding of compliance, quality management and risk‑based decision‑making
- Demonstrated experience with Lean, continuous improvement and performance management
- General knowledge of SAP and its role in production and supply chain processes
- Experience with CAPEX projects, robotics and automation is a strong advantage.
- A leadership style characterized by ownership, trust, role modeling and clear expectations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and internationally.
- Willingness to travel as required.
