THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you a proactive and experienced leader ready to take on a role in a global organization? At Boehringer Ingelheim, we are looking for a Facility & Engineering Manager to join our Animal Health site in Kalundborg - a role that blends strategic leadership, operational excellence, and global collaboration. You will oversee all aspects of facility management, engineering, and site services, ensuring compliance with global standards.
You will be part of the Senior Management Team, reporting directly to the Site Director, and collaborating closely with our global GFE (Global Facility & Engineering) organization hence some travel should be expected.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate engineering and facility projects, including renovations, expansions, and process improvements.
- CAPEX Planning & Reporting: Own the capital expenditure (CAPEX) planning process, including budget tracking, reporting, and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facility, Maintenance & Security: Oversee all asset and facility operations, maintenance programs, and site security, ensuring reliability and business continuity.
- Engineering – Qualification & Validation: Manage engineering qualification and validation activities, supporting quality standards and other regulated requirements.
- IT Contact Person: Serve as the primary liaison for IT-related topics at the site, collaborating with global and local IT teams.
- SAP Competency is preferred: Utilize SAP for facility and engineering processes, including maintenance, project management, and reporting.
- EHS Leadership: Act as the site lead for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), ensuring compliance with ISO14001 and other regulatory and company standards.
- Personnel responsibility for the maintenance team and student assistants.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in facility management, engineering, or a similar role within a regulated manufacturing environment (pharma/animal health preferred).
- Leadership experience, including personnel management.
- Strong knowledge of project management, CAPEX processes, and EHS.
- Experience with SAP and digital tools; robotics/automation is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and internationally.
- Fluent in English (Danish is a plus).
- Willingness to travel as required.
