The Opportunity

Are you passionate about advancing Animal Health and driving strategic growth in the livestock sector? 


We are seeking a dynamic Marketing & Technical Livestock Manager to join our team in Johannesburg. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing lead Livestock, this role is pivotal in translating the global Avian Marketing and Technical strategy into a tailored Southern Africa plan. With a focus on expanding our regional footprint through new products and market development, you will play a key role in delivering market insights, ensuring compliance, and executing high-impact marketing and technical initiatives across the region.

 

Role & Responsibilities

•    Translate global strategy into a localized Species ( Poultry, Ruminant & Swine) Marketing & Technical plan for Southern Africa, driving growth through geographic expansion and new products.
•    Analyze market data to map potential and market share by country and segment, ensuring visibility and strategic alignment.
•    Monitor market dynamics and share actionable insights and mitigation plans with internal teams.
•    Stay current on technical trends by reviewing journals, attending forums/conferences, and evaluating new opportunities.
•    Develop and implement a regional marketing plan, including budgeting, resource planning, and material creation aligned with global Avian strategy.
•    Support key accounts and distributors with tailored marketing plans, product launches, training, documentation, and field trials.
•    Coordinate technical documentation, training plans, and compliance with global and regional standards.
•    Design and manage local trials to support the avian product range, ensuring adherence to international protocols.
•    Drive new product and geographic expansion, ensuring systems and processes are updated per BI policies.
•    Ensure compliance with promotional and regulatory standards, uphold BI’s code of conduct, and support product registration and pharmacovigilance.

 

Requirements

•    Bachelor’s degree in veterinary science is a must
•    3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
•    Minimum 3 years of experience in the Poultry/Avian sector preferably
•    Key Accounts Managements & Sales background will be an added advantage
•    Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
