Marketing & Sales Lead - Pets

The Position

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Marketing & Sales Lead for our Animal Health – Pets division, Southern Africa Region. As the Lead based in Johannesburg, South Africa, you will be reporting to the Head of Animal Health and be an active member of the leadership team.

 

 

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Strategic execution and development of launch and commercial plans aligned with business plans.
  • Identify growth potential for business with long term forecast process.
  • Execute operational plan including customer engagement plan.
  • Analyze local product performance and identify levers for performance improvement in alignment with the agreed plans, and optimum budget allocation.
  • Represent Boehringer Ingelheim in medical/scientific TA societies, opinion leaders and external experts.
  • Collaborate with various internal functional areas, like, regulatory, market access, etc.
  • Lead and develop an effective team to achieve business objectives and provide direction to set objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in veterinary, or business administration, or Animal Science
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Marketing and/or Sales.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in People Management.
  • Launch experience.
