Position: Pet Technical Species Manager – Fixed Term

Pet Technical Species Manager, who will join our team under a fixed-term and outsource contract, will be responsible for providing technical/medical support to the Sales and Marketing functions within the pet team in Türkiye.

The position will report to the Pet Business Unit Head.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the technical/medical support towards pet sales and marketing functions all around Türkiye's territory.
• Carry out technical/product training of new employees and keep all employees up to date about new product developments.
• Setting up local and national scientific meetings for vets intended for the technical support of the products.
• Make field visits for pet hospitals, pet clinics, key accounts, kennels and breeding farms and offer treatment/prevention solutions to existing disease problems.
• Ensure the technical support of our products by answering to technical questions of the vets regarding the product and pathologies.
• Translation and adaptation of all corporate technical training materials to the local language.
• Lead field studies (regulatory, efficacy, safety) as required by local OPU/Corporate functions.

Job Expertise: 

• Veterinary Surgeon degree (DVM) and Specialist or PhD Degree in veterinary medicine is must.
• Min. 2 years pet clinic experience in the field is an asset.
• Good knowledge of Boehringer Ingelheim’s pet products.
• Knowledge of clinical trial management techniques and Key Opinion Leader Management.
• Understanding of the product registration process in the country and follows regulatory requirements.
• Ability to use computer software well: MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI, etc.
• Good command of both Turkish and English to express his/herself orally and in writing.
• Driving license holder and an active driver.
• Availability for national and international travel.
• No military obligation for males.
