Medical Advisor
We are looking for a Medical Advisor to join our medical affairs team, for Specialty and Rare Diseases therapeutic area, based in İstanbul, Türkiye. This position will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing short- and long-term medical goals and tactics, with an emphasis on pharmacotherapeutic aspects and with understanding of business priorities. Key aspects of this role also include providing medical knowledge and scientific updates to support in collaboration with selected healthcare professionals and cross-functional teams.
This position reports to the Medical Affairs Manager.
Responsibilities
- Implement and execute short- and long-term medical goals and tactics, with an emphasis on pharmacotherapeutic aspects and with an understanding of business priorities.
- Act as health care manager responsible for health care compliance revision and approval of commercial communication.
- Provide scientific leadership in cross-functional TA Brand team and contribute to the country strategy for brand medical plans.
- Provide medical knowledge and scientific update within the therapy areas for external stakeholders & scientific information management and dissemination.
- Scientific collaboration with selected healthcare professionals (EE: External Experts) within the therapy area with the objectives of educational programs
- Competitor intelligence sharing with internal groups.
- Internal training for commercial colleagues and coaching MSLs
- Maintaining scientific expertise within the cross-functional team
- Responding to medical information requests and archiving of relevant documentation and correspondence
- R&D consulting for clinical research.
- Make presentations regarding HCP Activities.
- Lead the scientific discussion in the cross-functional team with internal and external stakeholders in the format require e.g. Letters, meetings, etc.
- Advocating company image to scientific community and Health authorities
- Participating in scientific congresses, symposia, trainings and representing the company
- Maintains a code of professional conduct as a medical practitioner and reports instances of unethical practices exhibited by competitors.
Requirements
- Degree in Medicine
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Affairs; Advisor or Sr. Regional Medical Manager/ Sr. MSL experience is a plus
- Experience in Specialty Care is a plus
- Professional proficiency in English with excellent communication and influencing skills
- High level of analytical and reasoning skills
