The Opportunity
Boehringer Ingelheim, a global leader in healthcare, is seeking a visionary and dynamic leader to Head our Animal Health division in Istanbul, Turkey. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to steer the direction of our Animal Health business, ensuring its growth, profitability, and alignment with our corporate values and strategies.
This position is based at Istanbul, Turkey and reports to the General Manager - Turkey.

Role and Responsibilities
- Drive Business Performance: Take overall P&L accountability, ensuring business performance aligns with strategic goals while adhering to governance and compliance standards.
- Lead and Develop Teams: Foster a culture of excellence by leading, coordinating, and managing diverse teams, ensuring resources are developed to meet strategic objectives.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure the Animal Health business is in harmony with Corporate/Regional strategies, priorities, and targets.
- Business Growth: Proactively investigate and implement new business opportunities to enhance country business growth and profitability.
- Leadership: Guide the Country Leadership team with clear objectives, performance evaluation, and professional development opportunities.
- Regulatory Compliance: Uphold all regulatory, legal, and quality standards, ensuring the business operates within these frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and healthcare professionals.
- Industry Representation: Act as a representative of the Country and Boehringer Ingelheim in external forums, conferences, and professional associations.
- Change Management: Lead change initiatives, adapting to industry trends and market conditions to maintain and enhance business agility.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science, Life Sciences, or Business.
- A Master’s degree in Business is highly desirable.
- At least 10 years of experience in multinational pharmaceuticals/life sciences/FMCG, including local market expertise, people, and P&L management.
- In-depth knowledge of the life sciences & FMCG market, its competitors, and market trends.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a proven track record in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build, maintain, and influence relationships.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking with a clear vision for business direction and execution excellence.
- Experience in leading, coaching, and inspiring teams to achieve remarkable results.
- An entrepreneurial, agile, and creative mindset.
- Business fluency in English and Turkish is mandatory.
