(Trainee) Lab Scientist Research Immunology (m/f/d)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative (Trainee) Lab Scientist Research Immunology.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Perform immune analysis of samples treated with oncolytic viruses
  • Immunologic characterization of newly generated viruses in cell culture and in vivo experiments.
  • Immunologic characterization of human tumor samples.
  • Establish and perform new assays to characterize mode of action of oncolytic viruses.
  • Develop and maintain corresponding SOPs and batch-specifications. Write project and study plans and scientific reports; data presentation and discussion in the project team.

Requirements

  • BMA, Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or PhD in Immunology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences or equivalent
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of multicolor flow cytometry including panel building is a must. 
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge of one or more of these techniques are considered as a plus: ELISpot, cytotoxicity assays, culture of permanent and especially primary mammalian cell culture.
  • Ability and willingness to work proactively with hands-on approach in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills willing to work in a company where personal engagement and empowerment combined with accountability is highly supported.
  • The position requires English communication skills, both spoken and written. German language skills would be highly appreciated (otherwise willingness to learn German).
  • Proficient in FlowJo, GraphPad Prism and MS-Office

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 50.000 (full time), although the actual salary is based on your technical skills and personal competencies as well as your professional experience.
