Senior Manager Transfer Pricing

The Position

Join our Corporate Tax Department in Ingelheim as Senior Manager Transfer Pricing and shape transfer pricing concepts for a global, innovation-driven pharmaceutical company. 

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and international tax colleagues to develop practical transfer pricing solutions for Pharma-related business models, audits, MAP (Mutual Agreement Procedures)/ APA (Advance Pricing Agreements) processes and cross-border projects. 

You will combine strategic tax expertise with hands-on project responsibility, helping ensure that our transfer pricing set-up is robust, compliant and business-oriented. 

This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 2 - 3 days per week on site.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • One of your key responsibilities will be to advise selected international group entities and business functions on transfer pricing matters, translating complex tax requirements into practical guidance. 
  • You will further develop and optimize group-internal transfer pricing concepts, support their operational implementation and monitor whether they remain aligned with business developments and tax requirements.
  • In international tax audits, MAP and APA, you will prepare and analyze financial data, coordinate defense positions and work closely with local tax teams and external advisors.
  • Moreover, you will manage transfer pricing documentation for allocated markets and support the preparation of Country-by-Country Reporting, including public CbCR where relevant.
  • In addition, you will contribute to international documentation and transformation projects, coordinating input from countries, finance functions and business stakeholders.
  • Furthermore, you will review transfer-pricing aspects of tax designs, intercompany arrangements, contracts and M&A projects and support the integration of acquired or restructured business models. 

Requirements

  • Degree in economics, law, business administration or a comparable field with a focus on tax, international tax or transfer pricing 
  • Long-term of transfer pricing experience in consulting or in a corporate headquarters environment 
  • Strong expertise in transfer pricing and international taxation, including transfer pricing documentation, financial analysis, audit defense as well as corporate income tax and indirect tax matters
  • Broad experience in international tax projects and business transformations, including tax audits, (MAPs), (APAs), M&A activities, business model changes and intercompany structures
  • Strong analytical and business acumen, with the ability to develop pragmatic solutions in a complex global environment; tax advisor qualification is a plus
  • Affinity for technology, digitalization and artificial intelligence, with a focus on leveraging innovative tools and approaches in daily work
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, with the ability to work effectively across functions, countries and seniority levels; additional languages are advantageous
