Senior Manager Supply Strategy

The Position

Do you want to be part of Animal Health (AH) Global Supply in Ingelheim Network strategy and shape our internal and external operations sites network worldwide (Biologicals and Pharmaceuticals, including approximately 70 CMOs) spanning all technologies and product segments? 

In this role, you will develop the global AH Supply Network Strategy (SNS) for the Bio and Pharma network within Global Supply and contribute to global program implementation planning, including strategic objectives for AH Operations to ensure implementation on time and within budget (PMO).

You will also lead selected strategic initiatives within the Pharma or Bio network in line with the Supply Network Strategy.

 This position can be filled in Ingelheim.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role, you will evaluate SNS projects as required and contribute to the annual review in alignment with long‑term forecast (LTF) and Our Strategy forecasts.
  • You will coordinate and coach project leads worldwide to ensure a well‑synchronized implementation of the Supply Network Strategy.
  • Throughout the project lifecycle, you will support project leaders, including project set‑up and scoping, management of interdependencies, stakeholder mapping, as well as project risk and resource management.
  • You will generate and provide monthly program implementation reports to the Supply Strategy Committee (SSC).
  • In addition, you will regularly interact with executives and senior leaders across the company, including representatives from the AH Global Supply Management (GSM), Global Commercial Business (GCB), Global Innovation (GI), and the Global Supply Leadership teams.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Natural or Applied Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering or a comparable field; higher academic degrees are an advantage
  • A proven track record of operational experience in manufacturing, particularly in biological products, combined with strong technological acumen (e.g. vaccine manufacturing technologies); operational experience in NCE drug product manufacturing
  • In‑depth understanding of the life‑science industry, the competitive landscape, and global benchmarks, with a strong focus on Animal Health and the operations environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teams, including effective stakeholder integration
  • Ability to deal with complexity, multi‑project interdependencies, transversal activities, as well as to present topics in a clear and simple manner.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and anticipate next steps or needs as well as the ability to switch between strategic & tactical mindset as needed
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to energize and motivate teams, combined with conflict resolution skills and assertiveness
  • Fluency in English and good German language skills
