Senior Manager Global Security - People Protection
The Position
Drive the future of global security at Boehringer Ingelheim, leading projects and initiatives that enhance our site security, crisis readiness and foster resilience. You’ll define requirements for people protection with focus on travel security, employee security, security policies and standards that protect our people and assets, while fostering a culture of innovation and agility in security. This position has a hybrid setup with approximately 3 days per week on site.
Tasks & responsibilities
- You'll define travel security requirements, harmonize business processes globally, and manage global security providers (e.g. International SOS).
- As a subject matter expert, you'll strategically protect Boehringer's people and assets, developing and implementing security policies and standards to strengthen future resilience.
- Drawing on your expertise, you'll drive projects, fostering an agile security culture and delivering true business value as a business enabler.
- As a subject matter expert, you'll coordinate and support Boehringer globally, monitoring compliance, supporting local workflows, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to uphold a strong security culture & awareness.
- As a service delivery lead, you will ensure with the vendors, performance and efficiency by measuring through structured KPIs and other service monitoring.
- You'll identify optimization opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of security services, strategies, and processes, while ensuring global process standardization and compliance.
- You'll take on a leadership role in sharing best practices, fostering a community of security professionals, and aligning user requirements with stakeholders worldwide.
- Drive security awareness campaigns globally and ensure end-to-end delivery to the sites.
Requirements
- Armed with a master’s degree in a security-related field, you're adept at conflict management and uphold a strong ethical code
- Your comprehensive knowledge of protecting employees, assets, and business processes is coupled with resilience and intercultural competency
- Expertise in site security management, operational and from management perspective is your forte, along with a knack for various security areas
- Top-notch MS Office skills and exceptional negotiation abilities define you
- Experience in instructing and coaching internal and external colleagues
- You're fluent in English and basic German, with any additional languages as a bonus
