Senior Communications Manager

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As the future Senior Manager - Medicine Communications (HP), you will shape and coordinate the global execution of the Global Medicine Communications Strategic Agenda.
  • Moreover, you will ensure Medicine campaigns align with the Global Comms Strategic Agenda, working closely with other functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Specifically, you will partner with the Human Pharma Medicine organization to position our leadership in science to diverse industry stakeholders. Your role will be crucial in strengthening Medicine's reputation as a key pillar within Human Pharma.
  • Furthermore, you will advise senior management on employee engagement and communication rhythms. You will also be responsible for implementing a proportionate and strategic calendar for senior leaders' communication, both internally and externally.
  • You will partner with the Chief Medical Officer in building her stature as a credible voice of science in the industry and a strong voice for our narrative. 
  • You will develop effective communication platforms and formats, serving as a dedicated Business Partner to relevant stakeholders.
  • Moreover, you will be responsible for implementing global governance and core processes for all key areas, for ensuring consistent and flawless internal and external communications and support liaising with senior leadership.
  • Leveraging your experience, you will build a strong team to support transformation and change processes in Business Units and Group Functions.

Requirements

  • University degree in Mass communication / Journalism / Media Management with long-term experience in communications / mass communication and several years' experience in managing senior leadership / executive teams
  • Proven track record in strategic leadership communications and experience in a matrixed organization in the healthcare industry
  • Excellent editorial and copywriting skills with a broad scope as well as experience in crisis and issues management
  • Knowledge of traditional and new age media working models and analytics; Qualifications in digital communication / social media management is an added advantage 
  • Ability to transform a strategic vision into specific actions and plans and to anticipate business challenges, trends as well as internal and external stakeholders' needs
  • Experience in working with the C-suite, managing expectations, executing 360-degree campaigns with multi-stakeholder groups
  • Excellent verbal and written command in English. Knowledge of other international languages is an added advantage
