Process Manager - Sourcing

The Position 

As Process Manager in our Process Management S2P Sourcing team, you are part of the Global Business Services (GBS) Process and Program Management (PPM) organization at Boehringer Ingelheim. You are designing, building, and continuously improving Boehringer Ingelheim’s global Sourcing processes, which are supported by our global weBuy (SAP Ariba) system as well as custom applications based on SAP BTP Platform. Tasks & responsibilities 

  • You will leverage your expertise in Sourcing to identify areas for improvement and work collaboratively with stakeholders to develop strategic proposals.
  • Acting as a key Business Expert in Sourcing, you will collaborate with the GBS Center Network (Manila, Buenos Aires, Wroclaw, Ingelheim), GBS Sourcing, GBS MDM, and IT to align, coordinate and implement demands regarding processes and IT applications.
  • Your responsibilities will include managing international project teams, preparing, implementing, and following up on project milestones and complex workshops.
  • In this role, you will oversee and manage user communities, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and promoting best practices within our shared service centers.
  • Additionally, you will execute and document testing and training activities to ensure a seamless learning experience and compliance with processes.
  • As part of your daily tasks, you will provide third-level support for the operation of processes and applications, ensuring that systems remain compliant and validated.
  • Furthermore, you will manage external consultants, they adhere to Boehringer Ingelheim's high standards. You will collaborate with teams such as PPM Procurement, Accounts Payables, Travel and Expenses, S2P Compliance, PM Legal, and Contracting Solutions to secure robust end-to-end processes.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree; preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, IT or similar
  • Sound knowledge in Sourcing and adjacent process areas (e.g. Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable) ideally based on several years of working experience in a corresponding position
  • Good knowledge in SAP Ariba, SAP ERP S/4 HANA, SAP BTP, artificial intelligence, data analytics and very good understanding of dependencies within S2P as well as adjacent areas and systems
  • Agile, accountable, and entrepreneurial mindset with a dedicated solution- and result orientation as well as good analytical capabilities and problem-solving competence
  • Preferably, experience in managing projects on your own achieving your goals in time, budget, and quality
  • Dedicated team player appreciating diversity and versatility paired with good communication skills, including preparation of documentation for presentations
  • Fluent in English (additionally fluent in German would be an asset) for an efficient communication with international colleagues
