The Position
Are you passionate about driving innovation in pharmaceutical development?
At our Animal Health division in Ingelheim, you will play a key role in exploring and evaluating cutting-edge approaches to enhance candidate selection for New Chemical Entities (NCEs) in preformulation. By improving the candidate selection cascade, you will contribute to advancing predictive models for palatability and biorelevant dissolution, ultimately refining the prediction of permeation and supporting the development of high-quality solutions for animal health.

This Position is limited for 2 years.
Tasks & responsibilities
- In your new role, you will perform literature research to gather and analyze relevant information.
- You will plan, execute, and evaluate API and formulation characterization using physicochemical and biopharmaceutical tests.
- Through evaluating and testing new technologies, you will establish concepts to enhance candidate and formulation selection.
- Collaborating with internal and external partners, you will implement improvements in decision-making frameworks for projects.
- Furthermore, you will communicate results effectively through presentations, reports, and scientific documentation, including papers.
Requirements
- PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biopharmaceutics or a related field
- In-depth knowledge of relevant analytical methods and equipment (e.g., HPLC, in-vitro dissolution, PSD (particle size distribution), DSC (differential scanning calorimetry), KF (Karl Fischer Titration); mass spectrometry is a plus)
- Knowledge of design of experiments, data analysis and development of models e.g. for prediction of bioavailability or stability of APIs and formulations
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative working style
- Fluent orally and written in English and German
- First experience in formulation development of poorly soluble drugs is a plus
