The Pillar Lead, Global Medical Affairs Omnichannel Excellence will provide strategic leadership and end-to-end ownership for the Global Medical Omnichannel Excellence team. This role will drive the strategic development and scalability of omnichannel capabilities to scale across regions. The position holder will lead this cross-functional team to achieve excellence in performance, innovation, and compliance. The incumbent will work closely with focus markets to drive effective and efficient implementation of omnichannel frameworks.

The Pillar Lead, Global Medical Affairs Omnichannel Excellence will foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team. This role will ensure compliance, talent management, performance, and cost efficiency in all processes and services.

Tasks & Responsibilities

 
  • In your responsibility is the strategic development and global governance of GMA Medical Omnichannel capabilities and related services.
  • You will lead the team of Global Capability Owners and manage seven direct reports overall.
  • Creating, managing and evolving Medical Omnichannel Development Plan templates for market deployment will be in your hands as well.
  • You will ensure alignment of omnichannel strategies with global medical and scientific goals, working with the Medical Heads, Associate Medical Heads, and Medical Managers across regions.
  • Additionally, you will foster strong relationships and collaboration with key stakeholders, including corporate medical functions, medical teams in the regions, and external partners.
  • By engaging Medicine in the regions and holding regular stakeholder meetings, joint projects, and collaborative workshops you will ensure effective communication and alignment with global medical strategies. 
  • Close relationships with the omnichannel content delivery unit will be critical to the success of this role.
  • You will drive the continuous improvement and innovation of all capabilities reporting into the team and the delivery of services according to OLAs globally. Includes improving the scalability and execution of medical information, publication strategies, medical education and/or omnichannel content development and deployment strategies.  
  • Furthermore, you oversee compliance of processes and services with global medical requirements.
 

Requirements

 
  • University degree, advanced science/clinical degree (PharmD, M.D., DNP, DO, Ph.D., Master’s), preferred.
  • Longstanding years of professional experience in a scientific, clinical, and/or medical space, including Several years of prior Medical Affairs, MSL or related pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience leading people, initiatives, or projects in a cross-collaborative environment.
  • Ability to negotiate and influence across a matrix & cross-functional organization.
  • Fluency in oral and written English, further language skills would be an asset
  • Experience in customer-facing and /or medical excellence initiatives.
  • Experience in change management, including communication, training and support, leadership engagement and change network management.
