As the world leader in the production of innovative medicines, we at Boehringer Ingelheim offer you the opportunity to get to know the many tasks of the Real-World Evidence (RWE) Analytics team. You accompany us at Global Integrated Evidence in Global Medical Affairs. This role is ideal for students with a medical, epidemiological, or data-driven background who are interested in strategic planning, communication optimization, and capability development in the pharmaceutical industry.
You will gain an insight into the following topics and areas of activities:
- RWE Capability Development – Supporting the assessment and enhancement of RWE-related skills, training, and best practices within the organization.
- Application of Secondary Data Analysis – Understanding how real-world data is used in healthcare decision-making, including observational studies and health outcomes research.
- Qualitative & Quantitative Research Approaches – Learning how different research methods are applied in pharmaceutical setting.
- Communication Optimization – Enhancing internal knowledge-sharing strategies to improve RWE awareness and accessibility within the company.
- Webpage & Digital Resource Optimization – Supporting the design and improvement of internal RWE platforms to streamline access to training materials and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Project Coordination – Collaborating with internal stakeholders across Medical, Commercial, and Corporate Affairs to align RWE capability development initiatives.
Your Profile:
- Currently enrolled in a master’s or advanced program in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Health Economics, or a related field
- Understanding of Secondary Data Analysis and its role in healthcare research (e.g., electronic health records, claims data)
- Familiarity with Qualitative and Quantitative Research Methods
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with an interest in talent development, organizational strategy, or knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Dedicated and team-oriented way of working as well as a high willingness to learn
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with SharePoint is a plus
- Fluency in spoken and written English
What we can offer you:
- As a student intern, you can expect a fair expense allowance (payment of the currently valid minimum wage)
- You will be given 2.5 days of paid time off for every full month of the internship
- A full-time internship is 37.5 hours a week (a smaller number of hours can be arranged
