Head of Integration Engineering

The Position

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Head of Integration Engineering to lead a team of integration engineers in designing, developing, and scaling enterprise-grade APIs and integrations. This role will drive the creation of best practices, reusable components, and training programs to upskill IT teams across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in modern integration platforms such as SnapLogic, Informatica Cloud, and SAP Integration Suite, and a passion for enabling digital transformation through seamless connectivity.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • You will lead and mentor a team of integration engineers, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • A vision for an integration center of excellence (COE) will be created and implemented, focusing on architecture consulting, enablement, coaching, and upskilling.
  • Thus, you will integrate, define and execute best practices in alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
  • Establishing and maintaining best practice frameworks for API lifecycle management, integration patterns, and data flow security will also be part of your role.
  • Furthermore, you will develop scalable, secure, and reusable connectors, components, and templates to ensure engineering excellence.
  • You will promote low-code/no-code platforms and automation tools to accelerate delivery and enhance efficiency.
  • Training programs, workshops, and documentation will be developed and delivered by you to upskill IT teams in integration technologies and best practices.
  • You will create reusable templates, connectors, and design patterns to standardize integration development acting as a foundation for future initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Long-term years of experience in integration engineering, with several years in a leadership role
  • Proven expertise in API design (REST, SOAP, GraphQL), integration architecture, and cloud-native development
  • Hands-on experience with SnapLogic, Informatica Cloud, SAP Integration Suite, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data flows, security protocols, and DevOps practices
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments and microservices architecture and familiarity with AGILE / SCRUM
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft) and ideally certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., SnapLogic Certified, Informatica Specialist, SAP Integration Suite)
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-building skills
