The Position

The Global Medical Affairs Learning, Training, and Coaching Lead is the driving force behind the global vision and strategy for the professional growth of non-customer facing medical affairs roles contributing to a future ready Medical Affairs function across the organization. 
Instrumental in developing specific medical capabilities, this leader's role spans Strategic Leadership & Planning, Scientific Expertise, and early strategic engagement and partnerships.
Shaping the evolving vision of Global Medical Affairs is a key part of this role, which involves cross-functional work within a matrix across Boehringer Ingelheim and selected countries.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • In this role, you will have the opportunity to work hand in hand with teams across Medical Affairs and beyond, playing a pivotal role in equipping the teams with the capabilities to meet the needs of our customers and patients. You will also contribute to the evolution of our Integrated Asset Plans.
  • You are able to bring the outside in: up to date with the Medical Affairs developments across the Pharmaceutical industry, your expertise will help ensure that Boehringer Ingelheim remains a future-proof medical organization.
  • Further, you will have the chance to cross-functionally set up a strategic account planning framework and other processes. Your contribution will be instrumental in standardizing and institutionalizing these processes across various countries.
  • Working closely with the Customer Facing Learning coaching and training colleague within the Stakeholder Engagement Pillar, you will ensure harmonization of processes and standards. You will also manage and maintain the required training and change management tools effectively.
  • Lastly, you will proactively identify and promote the sharing of best practices across our community of experts.

Requirements

  • We are seeking individuals with a minimum of a Master's degree. An advanced degree in Business administration will put you a step ahead.
  • The ideal candidate will have several years of experience in Medical Affairs within an either Global or Local Affiliate and a track record in extensive interactions with various stakeholder types within healthcare.
  • Your experience in corporate learning and development/training, preferably from a leadership position at a Global/Local Affiliate or corporate level, will be highly valued.
  • In-depth knowledge of the processes and standards in Medical Affairs and cross-functionality is a must.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to define business processes, set standards/metrics, implement technical tools/solutions, design training curriculum, and manage data. All this while ensuring customer, business, and user requirements are met.
