Tasks & responsibilities
- Pioneer the Future of Medical Affairs Metrics: You will lead the charge in developing the Medical Affairs metrics globally and across TAs, ensuring they resonate with our vision for clinical adoption and seamlessly integrate into the broader Human Pharma metrics framework. Your innovative approach will set new standards for measuring success and drive the evolution towards impact-oriented metrics.
- Steer Cross-Functional Implementation: Collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders to drive the implementation of these metrics by orchestrating cross-functional and international project teams. Your leadership will unite subject matter and technical implementation experts, breaking new ground in our quest for excellence.
- Orchestrate Strategic Initiatives: You will be at the forefront of the Global Medical Affairs strategy and roadmap, co-leading and supporting the build of shared Medical Affairs strategic objectives. In this pivotal role you will also ensure that our key strategic projects are executed on time, all while tracking progress through quantifiable KPIs.
- (Co-)Lead Lighthouse Initiatives: (Co-)Lead our most important strategic Medical Affairs projects, aimed at enhancing Medical Affairs quality and competitiveness.
- External Benchmarking: You know our competitors and industry trends and develop regular benchmarkings of our key capabilities, based on which you suggest opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in our Medical Affairs practices. This will further solidify our position as industry leader.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a relevant field as PharmD, NP, PA, Master’s, M.D., DO, Ph.D., or MBA. The diversity of acceptable degrees reflects the interdisciplinary nature of the role, which combines scientific knowledge, business acumen, and healthcare insight.
- A substantial professional background in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences industries is essential, ideally encompassing a broad spectrum of roles and responsibilities.
- A minimum of several years of professional experience is required, with a significant portion of that time spent in roles directly related to Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Commercial functions, or similar areas within the pharmaceutical industry. This experience is crucial for understanding the intricacies of Medical Affairs and its impact on patient care and business outcomes.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, ideally in the United States. This knowledge is vital for engaging in meaningful discussions with senior Medical Affairs leaders both within and outside the organization, and for navigating the complexities of the healthcare system to drive strategic initiatives.
- Strong background in performance measurement, process optimization, product management, and analytics, enabling effective KPI monitoring, process development, and project management to boost organizational performance.
- Proven hands-on experience with pharmaceutical product launches would be a plus.
- Proven experience in strategy development, project leadership, or consulting, showcasing the ability to craft and execute strategies that meet organizational objectives, would be a plus.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change, influence others, and lead cross-functional teams. Must be capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve shared goals.
- Fluent in English, additional Language is a plus
