You will have the opportunity to lead the design and execution of comprehensive global Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) programs for Boehringer Ingelheim’s priority asset in Oncology portfolio, across multiple indications and tailored to the development stage. Your expertise will support optimal market and patient access through evidence-based strategies that shape pricing, reimbursement, and formulary decisions. As a (Senior) Global HEOR Manager, you will lead the development and execution of comprehensive Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) programs, ensuring alignment with international payer and regulatory requirements, including EU Joint Clinical Assessment (JCA) frameworks. This role offers the opportunity to influence global market access and reimbursement decisions through robust evidence generation and value communication.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Design and implement global HEOR strategies and value demonstration plans across priority asset with multiple indications, tailored to lifecycle stage.
  • Develop evidence generation plans integrating clinical, real-world, and economic data to support pricing, reimbursement, and formulary decisions.
  • Ensure readiness for global HTA and EU JCA submissions by delivering high-quality HEOR packages aligned with payer expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional global and regional teams to embed HEOR insights into clinical development, regulatory and commercialization strategies.
  • Lead external engagement with key stakeholders, including HTA bodies, payers, and academic partners, to shape evidence requirements.

Additional responsibilities as Senior Manager:

  • Define long-term global HEOR and asset development strategies, in close collaboration with the global Clinical, commercial and medical counterparts, to ensure optimal patient access.
  • Develop publication strategies to communicate value evidence across global markets.
  • Provide strategic input into global pricing and access planning, ensuring alignment with evolving payer landscapes.

Requirements 

  • Advanced degree in Health Economics, Public Health, Epidemiology, Pharmacy, or related field.
  • Proven experience in HEOR or Market Access, ideally within oncology or specialty care.
  • Proven expertise in health economic modeling, outcomes research, and HTA submissions in oncology.
  • Experience managing global projects and working in cross-functional, matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.

Additional requirements as Senior HEOR Manager:

  • Long-term pharma industry experience, with positions in the areas of health economics, pricing & reimbursement, consulting, or payer authorities
  • Several years of exposure to international business on a day-to-day basis
  • Strong track record in value generation, demonstration and/or communication
  • Highly experienced in conducting health economics/outcomes research across multiple specialty disciplines (e.g. patient reported outcomes, health economic modelling, real world data generation)
