Director of Strategic Intelligence
The Position

This position has a hybrid setup and we welcome your presence on site in Ingelheim for the majority of the time.
Tasks & responsibilities
- You will lead and inspire a team of strategic intelligence experts, developing them into a high-performance unit that drives impactful insights.
- A key part of your role will be to shape and implement a robust process for gathering and analyzing strategic intelligence by identifying signals, validating trends, and determining their relevance to Boehringer Ingelheim’s strategy.
- In addition, you will take ownership of both external intelligence sources and internal tools, such as the Global Employee Survey and ad-hoc Employee Listening activities, ensuring their effective execution.
- Your team will deliver high-quality, timely reports—both regular and ad-hoc—that will empower senior leaders to make informed strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Advanced academic qualifications: Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) and/or Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, MD), combined with extensive professional experience
- Leadership skills to build, develop, and inspire a high-performance team
- Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods
- Proven expertise in business, finance, and strategic scenario planning, ideally with an affinity for healthcare or other regulated industries
- Strong analytical mindset and strategic thinking, with a focus on corporate strategy and value creation in life sciences
- Capability to define and oversee processes for intelligence gathering and analysis
- Demonstrated ability to communicate high-impact insights to senior leaders in a concise and compelling manner (e.g., strategic plans, competitive intelligence)
- Executive presence and confidence to deliver strategic intelligence effectively to top decision-makers
