(Senior) Pricing and Market Access Manager Oncology
The Position
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the long-term pricing and market access strategies for innovative oncology therapies. As a (Senior) Pricing and Access Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of global access strategies that align with corporate goals and ensure value generation across the product lifecycle. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will generate evidence to support successful HTA outcomes, optimal pricing, reimbursement, and formulary inclusion. Your work will directly support clinical adoption, accelerate market development, and enable broad patient access to cutting-edge treatments worldwide.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Define and lead global oncology pricing strategies by translating clinical and economic value into robust launch plans, ensuring alignment with internal policies and payer needs. Collaborate cross-functionally to shape evidence generation, set global price corridors, and embed payer insights for differentiated market positioning.
- Partner with regional and local operating units (R/OPUs) to understand local market dynamics, payer priorities, and evidence needs. Support the implementation of global access strategies to ensure consistent execution while allowing for market-specific adaptability.
- Develop and coordinate access launch readiness plans to ensure timely and equitable access to oncology innovations. Shape the global value proposition, pricing strategy, and negotiation tools, while engaging early with regions and R/OPUs to proactively address access challenges.
- Lead the development and implementation of a global healthcare system shaping framework to ensure broad and equitable access to oncology innovations. Collaborate across global, regional, and local teams to streamline patient access by aligning product value with healthcare system priorities and designing access strategies tailored to diverse environments.
- Drive the operationalization of market access strategies by identifying care gaps across healthcare systems. Optimize asset adoption by developing market-specific access solutions and value communication strategies that address key barriers and accelerate the uptake of innovative oncology therapies.
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Health Economics, Medicine, Pharmacy, Finance, Natural Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong background in pricing, reimbursement, consulting, or payer authority roles.
- Deep understanding of global healthcare systems (US, EU, Japan and China) and market dynamics, with the ability to adapt strategies to archetype-specific requirements for optimal access execution and delivery of value-added services
- Proven expertise in price management, value generation, and value communication.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting payer-relevant research across multiple specialties, including pricing and contracting and Innovative access models
- Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional teams and ability to influence senior stakeholders
- High integrity, strategic mindset, and ability to navigate complex access, regulatory, and policy environments
- Fluent in English with excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Additional requirements for Senior Pricing and Access Manager
- Oncology Therapeutic Area experience is a strong advantage
- Understanding of healthcare delivery systems and patient journeys, funding flow mechanisms to inform strategic decisions.
- Skilled in the use of AI, data analysis and interpretation on datasets relevant to pricing, access or healthcare systems.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments, with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to identify and evaluate new market opportunities (e.g., emerging indications, geographies, and customer segments).
