Tasks & responsibilities

  • Design and prepare clinical development plans, focusing on Phase I, II, and III in oncology indications.
  • Guide cross-functional teams as the clinical lead, including experts from clinical trial operations, regulatory, medical affairs, preclinical & clinical pharmacology, biostatistics, biomarkers, and patient safety to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Oversee the setup, conduct, and data readout of clinical trials together with the Clinical Trial Lead, ensuring timelines, quality, and ethical standards are met.
  • Provide input to regulatory strategy and clinical components of briefing documents, presentations, and responses to regulatory questions.
  • Contribute to the Medical Affairs strategy and deliverables, such as the Integrated Evidence Plan, in collaboration with Medical Advisor(s) and the Medical Affairs Lead.
  • Evaluate external opportunities using your clinical expertise to support decisions that strengthen the pipeline.

Additional tasks for the Senior Role:

  • Supervise and mentor other Clinical Program Leads in the assigned program/asset.
  • Shape the overarching development strategy for the program in alignment with Indication and Brand Teams, including marketing and market access.
  • Initiate external collaborations with academic and industrial partners.

Requirements

  • MD degree with several years of clinical and scientific experience in oncology
  • Few years of experience in clinical drug development within the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience in academic clinical research
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Skilled in presenting scientific content and facilitating cross-functional discussions
  • High level of initiative, strategic thinking, and team orientation
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Additional requirements for the Senior Role:

  • MD degree with long-standing clinical and scientific experience in oncology
  • Several years of experience in clinical drug development within the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experience in academic clinical research
  • Strong Leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
