Project Manager (Site Infrastructure) | non-line Manager | MIRAI Program Group, Yamagata Plant

Accountabilities

  •  Ensure that all project objectives are met in terms of safety, quality, schedule, cost and within the defined project scope.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of CEM / FEL process. Define and implement relevant project procedures and specific plans.
  •  Ensure effective management of the project team incl. organizational team development.
  •  Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules regularly to identify deviations against agreed project plan(s) and baselines.
  • Ensure transparent, unambiguous communication within the project organization.
  • Ensure transparent, unambiguous and regular project reporting, including identifying critical activities and reviewing forecasts and progress achieved to date.
  • Ensuring that general facilities and equipment required by the project execution strategy are available, incl. but not limited to safety, office, IT resources.
  • Define and implement effective claims and change management project process (incl. impact assessment and cost consolidation).
  • Define and implement effective project cost control processes (content, frequency, measurements/KPIs).
  • Define and Implement project document control process.
  • Ensure effective implementation of safety systems incl. design / process safety, occupational safety, construction site safety plan, sustainability etc.
  • Establish and Maintenance of an effective meeting landscape to enable efficient resource management and needed availability (each for own scope of work / phase).
  • Overall monitoring and compliance with valid standards / guidelines and norms.
  • Develop WBS, CBS, cost estimate structure and cost estimation.
  • Create WBS in ERP.
  • Develop cost reporting structure based on reporting line items.
  • Project close-out: cost analytics.
  • Project close-out: asset activation.
  • Develop and maintain project risk register to ensure that risks are effectively managed to minimize their impact on schedule, scope, and budget of projects. Include risks based on claims and changes.
  • Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans.
  • Establish key metrics (i.e. KPIs) to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Evaluation and selection of vendor offer.
  • Ensure in cooperation with sourcing that legal / commercial parts of the project contracts fit to technical amendments / annexes.
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate to PM / claims manager a list of all concluded contracts and change / claims orders in the respective project.
  • Oversee contracts made with supplier, vendors, or partners in the respective project (contract management for legal / commercial part of the contract is role of resp. sourcing department).
  • Internal coordination of technical content of contracts (claims manager, engineering manager, sourcing).
  • Ensure compliance with the terms and conditions for technical amendments.
  • Document on any contract relevant changes, or amendments that may arise during its implementation or execution.
  • Ensure the knowledge of the contract within the project team and provide advice and guidance to the project management team related to contract management.
  • Establish and run investigation of incidents and near misses.
  • Establish effective EHS reporting system within project.
