Boehringer Ingelheim is currently seeking a talented and innovative Maintenance Reliability Co-Op to join our Mantaineance Department located at our in Gainesviille, GA. As an Co-Op, you will support the Maintenance and Reliability team by improving the quality and completeness of asset data within SAP. The project focuses on reviewing and updating Preventive Maintenance (PM) plans, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and spare parts lists to ensure maintenance activities are standardized, efficient, and aligned with reliability best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Review and update PM plans for selected assets.
• Validate and improve equipment BOMs in SAP.
• Create or update spare parts lists and material assignments.
• Identify critical spares and document recommendations.
• Support data standardization and maintenance master data governance.
• Develop progress reports and final recommendations for future reliability improvements.

Requirements

• Must be a current undergraduate, graduate or advanced degree student in good academic standing.
• Student must be enrolled at an accredited college or university for the duration of the Co-Op.
• Overall cumulative minimum GPA from last completed quarter/semester 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) preferred.
• Major or minor in related field.
• Undergraduate students must have completed at least 12 credit hours at current college or university.
• Graduate and advanced degree students must have completed at least 9 credit hours at current college or university.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
• Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Engineering Technology, Maintenance Management, or a related technical field.
• Interest in maintenance, reliability, asset management, and continuous improvement practices.
• Ability to review technical documentation such as equipment manuals, P&IDs, asset lists, and spare parts catalogs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to organize, validate, and maintain large datasets with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with maintenance, operations, Engineering, and storeroom personnel.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), spare parts management, inventory control, or maintenance planning is a plus.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) is desirable.
