Distribution & Field Logistics Driver

Description

Independently execute the transfer of all parts and vaccine to our Satellite warehouses. Maintain the truck and trailer lease. Keep up to date with all truck laws and regulations. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures 'Housekeeping' activities, (i.e. keeping truck, trailer clean, cleaning of equipment etc.) are performed routinely on the Truck.
  • All work must be completed in accordance of laws rules and regulations of the DOT.
  • May make day-to-day work assessments to other employees and ensure that work is executed according to the plan/schedule.
  • Demonstrate a visible ' tangible commitment to HSE, Lean Principles, and the BI Vision in all work related activities.
  • In addition to the above, other assigned duties ' projects deemed appropriate within the position scope.
  • Complete a daily truck log and submit reports of mileage covered with knowledge of ELD.
  • Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
  • Execute and deliver the goods on time to the final destination.
  • Responsible for loading truck a distribution warehouse and delivering to 7 remote warehouses per schedule.
  • Responsible for unloading truck at remote warehouses and dropping pallets in the appropriate locations to maintain cold chain.
  • Must be certified to operate electric pallet jack.
  • Responsible for maintaining cold chain throughout delivery of both frozen and refrigerated products.
  • Work in accordance to the Gainesville Site policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 45 days of offer but prior to start date
  • Two-plus (2+) years of experience in truck driving with a clean driving record.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
