The Associate Director of Business Process Excellence is responsible for leading and executing Lean Six Sigma (LSS) initiatives and overseeing the execution of the Operating Expenses (OPEX) project portfolio at US BioPharma. This position is accountable for planning and executing projects and process improvements to meet short-term and long-term site goals based on LSS best practices. Through engaging with senior leaders across the enterprise, the Associate Director of Business Process Excellence will identify and scope lean-related business challenges, conduct fact-based analyses and problem solving, and develop actionable plans to drive business improvements and process efficiencies. This role will represent US BioPharma within the Business Process Excellence global network and partner with global peers to drive network improvements.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Quantifies the impact of project financials, productivity, and compliance using data-driven, well-documented approaches to improve end-to-end operational performance.
  • Ensures timely delivery of project results to meet or exceed agreed-upon goals or metrics.
  • Leads and mentors project managers and LSS yellow, green, and black belts in Project Management Professional (PMP) and lean six sigma best practices.
  • Develops communication materials (presentations, status reports, etc.) for senior management and global leaders to facilitate discussions on project or program progression, results, and support needed.
  • Acts as a key driver for change within local and global teams to support project execution to learn, understand, adjust, and grow.
  • Recognizes obstacles preventing others from achieving goals and intervenes to find resourceful ways to support their progress.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science but experience can be substituted.
  • Eight-plus (8+) years of project management and/or process improvement experience.
  • Five-plus (5+) years’ experience in Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry and/or other regulated industry.
  • Experience in reviewing and performing business process investigations, which include root cause analysis, value stream mapping, and identification of effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Working knowledge of DMAIC, DMADV, PDCA, and different project management methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills and change management knowledge.
  • Preferred certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt.


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Compensation Data

The base salary range for the AD, Business Process Excellence position is $140,000 to $222,000.

 

The position may be eligible for a role specific discretionary bonus, relocation, and/or other compensation elements.  We continuously review market data and may adjust salary ranges as needed in the future.  Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, and other factors permitted by law.
