Plant Construction Engineer

The Position


The Plant Construction Engineer will join the Engineering Department of our strategic API manufacturing site located in Fornovo S. Giovanni (BG) and will report to the Capex Project Manager. In this position you will be responsible for the implementation of projects related to the revamping and new installations of process equipment, HVAC, clean and black utilities, facilities, and everything included in the Capex Plan. This role offers the opportunity to coordinate projects, starting from the design and planning phase to the construction and final commissioning. The ideal candidate has good knowledge of API manufacturing plants, processes, operations and related cGMP and safety requirements. 


Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinates the installations on field, ensuring compliance with the design requirements and timelines.
  • Supervises the execution of commissioning and start-up activities. Provides technical support for qualification tests, if needed.
  • Collaborates with the involved departments in the URS and Change Control document drafting. Participates to dedicated Hazop analyses.
  • Manages the project consultants during the definition of the technical specifications, bill of quantities and all the documentation required by the Purchasing Dept. for the tender.  
  • Supports the procurement activities performing on-site inspections with suppliers participating in the bidding process, verifies the conformity of the received bids and performs technical comparisons with the support of the Process consultants.
  • Retrieves, checks, and archives the as-build technical documentation.
  • Manage dedicated consultant for INAIL registration activities of new PED equipment.

 

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred). 
  • At least 3 years of experience in installation and construction of chemical-pharma plants.
  • Solid knowledge of all aspects of chemical-pharma industry in terms of technologies, process, cGMP and safety requirements. 
  • Strong digital skills, Project Management, Autocad,  
  • Fluent level of Italian & Good level of English language.
  • Good communications skills, teamwork ability, proactivity.
