Area Executive (Specialty)

The Position

  • Driving performance – Responsible to meet/exceed sales targets for assigned product(s) within the allocated territory through achievement of related Sales Excellence KPIs.
  • Executing Customer Engagement Excellence – focuses on executing in-clinic Sales Action Plan by way of Customer Engagement Model, implements off-clinic promotional activities assigned to target Customers and thereby improves the Customer relationship.
  • Adhering to Compliance, Code of Conducts and Policies – is responsible to ensure that all company and industry compliance topics/requirements are understood, adhered and established local processes followed.

    
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible in generating sales, increase market share and ensure profitability for assigned territory as aligned with marketing strategies and Boehringer Ingelheim’s goals.
  • Maintains and utilizes expert product knowledge and highly effective selling skills to executes brand strategies to ensure company sales and marketing messages are delivered to targeted customers.
  • Utilizes CRM tools to create pre-call plans, plan activity, report, monitor samples and maintain customer records. 
  • Analyzes territory information to optimize customer calls and create annual business plan for execution. Monitors market conditions for changes that impact our business. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in science from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of relevant hospital channel sales experience is preferred.
  • Experience in sales covering specialty and/or rare disease area will be a strong advantage.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Experience in delivering presentation to a group of audience is required. 
  • Key competencies include interpersonal skills, drive, resilience, persuasiveness, teamwork, organization skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to travel (monthly overnight travel is required)
  • Based in Central (KL, Selangor).
  • Must possess valid driver's license and a car.
