The Senior Associate Director, Reporting Strategy, defines, leads, and governs the US Animal Health enterprise reporting strategy to ensure consistent, trusted, and decision‑ready insights across all commercial business segments. The role shapes the strategic direction for enterprise‑wide reporting, establishes reporting standards and governance, and ensures that executive leadership and more than 600 field‑facing colleagues are equipped with reliable, aligned, and business‑critical insights.  Operating as a senior strategic leader within Data Management, the role partners closely with business segment leadership, Finance, Marketing, Retail, IT Delivery, and Data Product Management to ensure that reporting capabilities and business intelligence solutions are scalable, governed, and aligned to US AH strategic and operational priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities

Enterprise Reporting Strategy & Governance

  • Define and own the US Animal Health enterprise reporting strategy, including principles, standards, and a unified reporting framework.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment of metrics and definitions across all business units. Establish and enforce reporting governance, security, quality controls, and adoption standards.

 

Strategic Partnership & Business Alignment 

  • Partner with leaders across Retail, Multi‑Species, Livestock, Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Corporate Accounts, and Field Leadership to identify and prioritize enterprise reporting needs.
  • Translate complex business questions into structured, governed reporting solutions that enable executives and field teams to make informed, data‑driven decisions.

 

Leadership of Reporting Roadmap & Portfolio 

  • Lead the development and continuous refinement of the enterprise reporting roadmap to ensure alignment with US AH commercial priorities and overall Data Management strategy.
  • Drive transparency in prioritization, ensuring resources are allocated to high‑value reporting needs with measurable business impact. 

 

Reporting Delivery Excellence & Best Practices 

  • Provide thought leadership on reporting design, data modeling, and BI best practices leveraging tools such as Power BI, Qlik, and enterprise reporting warehouses.
  • Ensure the delivery of intuitive, self‑service‑ready reporting assets that enable “one version of the truth” across the organization.

 

Cross‑Functional Leadership & Influence 

  • Build and lead a cross‑functional coalition of internal reporting experts and external contractors to deliver consistent, governed reporting products.
  • Influence executive and senior leadership on reporting standards, definitions, and approaches, ensuring decisions are grounded in trusted data.

 

Data Quality, Lineage & Governance Oversight 

  • Ensure integrity, lineage, and proper governance for all enterprise reporting data sources and pipelines.
  • Drive continuous improvements based on adoption metrics and success criteria.

 

Enterprise BI Enablement & Culture Building 

  • Champion a data‑driven culture, advocating for the expansion of enterprise BI capabilities and self‑service enablement.
  • Promote consistent use of enterprise BI platforms and alignment with global and US AH Data Management practices.

 

Agile Leadership & Delivery Management 

  • Lead agile delivery cycles (backlog prioritization, sprint planning, reviews) for enterprise reporting initiatives.
  • Ensure continuous alignment with Data Product Management and IT Delivery regarding reporting capabilities, dependencies, and technology strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' Degree required in analytics, Computer Science, Information Management, Decisions Sciences or related field. 
  • 10 +  years of experience required.
  • Expert capability in data engineering, Business Intelligence (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to work with both technical and non-technical audiences.
