The Associate Director, Security GA Sites is end-to-end accountable and responsible for BIs areas of security in the respective local area. This role is responsible for implementation of the regional security roadmaps, standards and programs set by the regional Head of Security (RHoS) to effectively secure all focus areas within the respective local area.
Ensures:
- Implementation of the regional roadmaps
- Implementation of the standards & policies/procedures for all areas of operational security
- Development and/or harmonization of operational security processes, procedures, and protocols
- Maintaining in a ‘ready state’ all incident response and crisis management documentation; including site plans, contact lists, training exercises conducted, etc.
- Management and/or performance of all governance tasks
- Supervising the handling of security incidents and guiding of activities to reduce unwanted effects during security related events.
- Operational Management and Oversight for local security program
Duties & Responsibilities
- Engages internal & external stakeholders to facilitate completion of multiple protective programs to prevent losses and maintain normal operating conditions to ensure business functions remain intact.
- Protective Programs include Protection of Intellectual property, Life Safety Systems, Digital Video Management and Access Control Management Systems.
- Develops awareness programs for the site regarding Safety & Security.
- Develops company policies and procedures regarding access control of employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
- Ensures compliance and review them periodically for changes.
- Asset Protection: Manages physical security operations, including respective processes, protocols, measure implementation and security provider for guarding; assesses status, implements, and maintains proper functionality of technical security systems.
- Ensures readiness and support site risk assessments/audits as well as site-specific security risk assessments.
- Supply chain security: Manages compliance with standards (internal & 3rd party).
- Employee security: Manages Employee at Security Risk program, implements workplace violence prevention programs, supports implementation of travel & expat security standards; Identifies employees at security risk, reviews cases & implements necessary actions.
- Know-how protection: Implements know-how protection standards.
- Site & event security: Manages manned guarding, technical systems & related processes.
- Crisis Management: Runs the crisis management program based on regional CM strategy; acts as incident or crisis team manager for all sites in scope, maintains in a ‘ready state’ all incident response and crisis management documentation including site plans, contact lists, training exercises conducted; develops and facilitates trainings for local Crisis Management Teams
- Business Continuity Management: Supports and implements business continuity strategy and program; supports local teams to implement BIAs and BCPs
- Audit: Supports all security audit processes
- Investigations: Manages all security investigation processes including investigate/interview individuals regarding theft reports, company violations and respond to requests from Human Resources for assistance; Works with Federal, State, and local agencies regarding issues pertaining to potential criminal activity; Reports findings to management for corrective action.
- Technical systems: Liaises with corporate/local stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of programs, proper maintenance, and operational excellence of these systems.
- Intelligence: Ensures local reporting of security-relevant info, filter & report; Gathers intelligence and prepare for potential activists and protesters that could interfere with company business; Provides a means to protect executives in case of an escalation of activist activity.
- Awareness: Implements global security awareness programs, identifies local awareness requirements & creates related programs
- Develops, manages, and controls the local operating and capital budgets.
- Translates and adapts corporate standards to local conditions.
- Participates on the local Incident Management Team and local Crisis Management Team, responsible for coordination of Security staff during an on-site crisis.
- Ensures system in place to identify all in-scope events & develop related security concept.
- Oversees site security personnel (Internal/External).
- Administers all procedures and operations of the contract security agency on site.
- Ensures compliance with all terms of the contract by working with the contract company’s management.
Requirements
- Ten-plus (10+) years of experience in security management or a related field.
- Experience in managing sec. Systems: Access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection.
- Experience implementing supply chain security standards & has related certification (e.g., CTPAT, TAPA, AEO).
- Proficient knowledge in data collection, analytics, asset protection, operational processes, stakeholder management, OSHA guidelines, employee protection, crisis management, business continuity management, training development and facilitation, risk management processes, and process improvement techniques.
- Strong track history of managing contracts, budget & service providers.
- Working with all levels & stakeholders within company (e.g., HR, Legal, IT, Supply Chain, Site Management).
- Familiarity with local/national security risks & experience implementing related protective measures.
- Experience managing contracts, budget & service providers.

- Has established network of local security contacts.
- Proven capability to manage incidents and crises under pressure.
Optional:
- Background in law enforcement, military, or intelligence/national security.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees all procedures and operations of the contract security agency involving everyday problems, compliance of terms regarding proper training, staffing and negotiation and renewal of the service contract.
- Directs and manages the Security Supervisor with their involvement with the contract service, including daily and weekly meetings with the staff.
- Manages company receptionists and Parking & Badges Coordinator in the performance of their duties.
- Ensures that security programs are maintained by the staff including the use of a Visitor Identification system.
- Ensures all new hires receive orientation and photo ID.
- Security Project Management: Manages and oversees Security Project Execution.
- Accountable for the overall success of projects and/or programs according to the approved project scope and budget.
