The Associate Director, Retailer Inventory & Forecasting is responsible for transforming how performance data drives decision-making across sales, marketing, and forecasting. By automating reporting systems and advancing analytics from descriptive to predictive and prescriptive, the position empowers teams with actionable insights—like “next best action” recommendations—to optimize outcomes. This role oversees financial performance tracking through customer-level P&Ls and leads the refinement of forecasting models using enriched data inputs and cross-functional collaboration. This role enables smarter, faster decisions that fuel profitable growth and operational efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities

Reporting Automation and Improvement.

  • Drives the evolution from descriptive reporting to predictive and prescriptive analysis including "next best action" recommendations for sales leads and marketers.
  • Automates data feeds and create visualizations in various reporting tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Excel) for sales performance and inventory estimates.
  • Works with 3P agencies and internal forecasting and Data Governance teams to develop and validate models and performance reporting.
  • Partners with IT to drive retail sales and inventory EDI/API integrations.


Financial Performance Tracking.

  • Builds P&Ls to track performance of key customers.
  • Leads direct, coordinate and enhance all financial reporting matters for responsible areas.
  • Drives process improvements.


Forecast Model Improvement.

  • Works with internal teams and 3P agencies to refine appropriate data-based forecasting models.
  • Builds out new data sets to inform performance expectations (economic indicators, customer demand forecasts, inventory targets, etc.)
  • Aggregates and verifies accuracy of input from sales leads to adjust output as needed.


Leadership and Business Partnering:

  • Provides financial leadership for retail as it relates to business objectives, identifying risks/opportunities, and monitoring progress against strategies/plans.
  • Supports scenario simulation and development of alternatives including risk identification and related mitigation approvals.
  • Provides leadership to support the Company's vision and strategy and to drive continuous.


Audit/Compliance:

  • Supports BU business Partner/ OPU Central Controlling in Internal and External audits.
  • Ensures and supports execution of CoSeA.
  • Leads and supports periodic compliance reviews (ensure quality & risk management compliance for commercial/operations process.

Requirements

  • BS/BA required.
  • Minimum six (6) years’ experience in finance, forecasting, supply, demand planning, or another relevant field.
  • In depth understanding of retail customer analytics, economics, supply chain, as it relates to forecasting and actualizing product inventory and associated sales.
  • Proven success working with cross functional partners.
  • Ability to multitask and manage aggressive deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal).
  • Proven success in a team environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of data sources and reporting like Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Experience in customer P&L management.
