Swine Specialist
THE POSITION
Are you ready for a new challenge? We’re looking for a Swine Specialist to join our Livestock team!
In this role, you will take charge of key swine accounts across both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
You will manage relevant swine accounts to achieve sales targets within local cost budgets. Using a key account management approach and working cross functionally to develop and execute customer business plans and brand activities, you’ll provide practical support to, and deliver real value for, our customers.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for the implementation of strategic and national account plans, the development and implementation of local account plans, and stakeholder management within relevant accounts, utilising multi-channel communication when appropriate.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of customer businesses (both vets and producers) and identify and exploit mutual opportunities to add value to their business and achieve sales targets.
- Utilise the Boehringer Ingelheim on-farm resource to provide practical support to veterinary customers and their farm clients, when necessary, assisting in the establishment of vaccination programmes on farm.
- Monitor home market trends, competitor products and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and objectives and sharing this information as well as customer feedback on products and promotions with relevant colleagues.
- Maintain a first-in-class level of technical and commercial knowledge of Boehringer Ingelheim and competitor products and associated disease area.
- Handle first-line product queries in line with relevant company policies, whilst working closely with the Swine Veterinary Advisor to ensure best-in-class technical support is delivered to customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly competent at organising and planning
- Strong selling and influencing skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong financial fluency and business acumen
